As the Lenovo Value Category Manager you will drive growth and profitability across Lenovo’s ‘Value’ product categories, including Workstations, Visuals, Accessories, Services, and Tablets. The role sits within the Product Team and rewards strong commercial acumen, product knowledge and strategic execution. The successful candidate will receive a base salary plus monthly commission paid in arrears.
Day‑to‑day Responsibilities
* Ownership of Value Categories
o Primary point of contact for Workstations, Visuals, Accessories, Services and Tablets, following Lenovo’s KPIs.
o Develop and execute category‑specific strategies to hit revenue and margin targets.
* Business Development
o Identify growth opportunities within existing and new reseller accounts.
o Collaborate with Lenovo and internal sales teams to drive adoption and penetration of value categories.
* Product & Pricing Management
o Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Lenovo’s product portfolio, pricing structures and promotional programmes.
o Ensure competitive positioning of Lenovo products in the market.
* Enablement & Training
o Deliver product training and enablement sessions for internal teams and channel partners.
o Support marketing initiatives to increase awareness and demand for Lenovo value products.
* Forecasting & Reporting
o Monitor sales performance and provide accurate forecasting for value categories.
o Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
* Inventory Management
o Stock optimisation – maintain optimal inventory levels while minimising excess stock and obsolescence.
o Forecast alignment – collaborate with supply‑chain teams to match inventory with sales forecasts, promotional activities and seasonal trends.
o Aged stock management – implement strategies to reduce aged inventory and maximise sell‑through of end‑of‑life products.
* Collaboration
o Work closely with Lenovo account managers, marketing teams and operations to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and programmes.
o Liaise with vendors and partners to optimise supply chain and inventory management.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in product / category management or a similar role within IT distribution or vendor management (preferred).
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* A strong, disciplined attitude to work.
* Analytical mindset.
* Confident decision maker.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
