Are you looking for a new full-time position?
We are supporting a small group of children's nurseries based in Banbury.
38 hours over 4 days working 8am - 6pm
Salary up to £12.71 gross per hour (£25,115 gross per annum)
Main Duties
* Excellence in Early Education
* Be alert to issues of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the welfare and safety of children attending the setting is promoted and follow safeguarding procedures as detailed in the setting's policy and as directed by the local safeguarding team.
* Role model and provide effective play and learning opportunities for children, including setting up and maintaining challenging learning environments.
* Support the room manager in carrying out supervisions, observations, and cohort tracking.
* Assist in overseeing the daily running of the room and be an active part of the senior team.
* Inform the room manager of any problems, illnesses, and absences.
* Ensure enrichment activities, curriculum, and pedagogy are delivered effectively.
* Keep abreast of local and national changes affecting early years.
* Use observations and parent information to plan learning activities tailored to children's needs.
* Record and report all accidents and incidents according to procedures.
* Maintain records of children's development and share progress with parents and carers.
* Work with the SENCO to support children causing concern and lead on targeted plans.
* Maintain children's wellbeing, health, and safety, reporting concerns promptly.
* Build effective communication and relationships with staff, parents, and professionals, respecting confidentiality.
* Keep all information about children and families confidential.
* Adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to the role.
* Ensure children are collected by known and approved individuals.
* Respect confidentiality of all information received.
* Develop your role within the team, especially as a key person.
* Ensure mealtimes are social and pleasant.
* Meet children's dietary and allergy needs.
* Assist with washing and changing children as required.
* Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
* Keep unwell children calm and safe, notifying management immediately.
* Develop strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to support children's needs.
