Secure Innovation is part of CGI’s Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit, focused on delivering contemporary technical solutions for government agencies. Our systems are engineered for performance, security, reliability and scalability, built with modern CI and CD tooling. We are looking for an experienced cloud infrastructure engineer who can think outside the box to overcome technical challenges.
Our roles require UK Security Clearance and sole UK National status due to project security. You will either hold a higher level clearance or be willing to obtain it. We will consider applicants without security clearance for wider opportunities where appropriate.
Responsibilities
Your future duties and responsibilities:
* Work on leading edge and bespoke technologies within an interesting and rewarding environment.

* Assist in design, engineering enablement, and documentation related to CI/CD, Observability and Alerting.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
* Background in Software Engineering, including automation scripts, infrastructure as code, tooling/framework development, ideally using Java and/or Python.
* Experience with engineering enablement products such as CI/CD, Observability and Alerting.
* Experience creating designs and documentation, including how-to user guides.
* Experience investigating and resolving incidents and problems aligned to SLAs.
* Continuously seeking opportunities for system performance improvements.
* A passion for learning new technologies and innovation.
Desirable
* Experience of working on AWS.
* Linux and Windows administration.
* Containerisation experience such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
* Experience of security protocols such as PKI, TLS, etc.
