WSP is looking for Engineers and Assistant Engineers to join our Intelligent Infrastructure team. We are expanding our Digital Infrastructure Design Capability across all areas and are seeking individuals with a strong enthusiasm for digital technologies and digital design methodologies. You will contribute to innovative design and delivery processes, challenging traditional practices and helping to shape roadside infrastructure design.
This role can be based in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or London.
Responsibilities
* Engage in design tasks within a broader team and learn all aspects related to roadside infrastructure design.
* Collaborate effectively with the team, share ideas, provide support, and address gaps as needed.
* Mentor and contribute to the development of junior staff.
* Navigate ambiguous situations with a strong problem-solving mindset and escalate to senior staff when appropriate.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
* A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or relevant experience in technology design.
* Either working towards professional registration or professionally registered with an accredited institute.
* Domain knowledge in a relevant industry (e.g., power, communications, electrical, electronics or highway design).
* Understanding of roadside infrastructure and design standards.
* Ability to carry out design processes, including the use of design tools.
* Experience working as part of a team delivering designs or schemes.
* Collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Willingness to learn and contribute to digital design production innovations.
