Overview
This is your opportunity to join a successful and growing food manufacturer in Kent to help drive forward their Health & Safety agenda.
The company is going from strength to strength and as it does there is a big opportunity to build and put your stamp on an already robust Health & Safety culture.
The Role
The successful Health & Safety Advisor will:
* Support line managers with risk assessments, work instructions, and safety documentation sign-offs
* Deliver team briefings, toolbox talks, and in-house safety training to drive awareness and compliance
* Lead regular site inspections, audits, and accident investigations, using findings to drive improvements
* Maintain and develop the company Safety Management System in line with ISO 45001 standards
* Manage contractor safety, including inductions, documentation, and coordination of site works
* Contribute to the site’s environmental programme and aspect/impact assessments
* Stay current with health & safety legislation and communicate updates across the business
* Deputise for the Health, Safety & Facilities Manager and represent H&S in key meetings.
The Candidate
The successful Health & Safety Advisor will have:
* A NEBOSH Certificate.
* Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulatory and legal framework.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Auditing experience.
* Experience in delivering face to face training.
