Overview

Liaise, the SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (IASS) for Lincolnshire, is recruiting two permanent Caseworkers to join our dedicated team. These Caseworkers provide free, confidential and impartial information, advice and support to children, young people, parents and carers on matters relating to SEND, manage an active caseload and offer tailored support to meet individual needs.

Visa Sponsorship

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK, we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Working on the Liaise advice line and managing an active caseload.
  • Delivering workshops and training to professionals, parents, children and young people.
  • Promoting the Liaise service across Lincolnshire.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of the service to ensure it continues to meet IASS National Minimum Standards.

Qualifications

  • A sound understanding of current SEND practice and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong listening skills, empathy and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • The ability to remain impartial, manage challenging situations and use negotiation and mediation skills effectively.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working with a wide range of families and professionals.

The post holders will be required to work across Lincolnshire and will be expected to complete the necessary legal training as part of their professional development.
