We are seeking a dedicated Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Lewes. The role involves working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, on a pattern of 3 shifts per week for three weeks, and 4 shifts in the fourth week.
Salary: Up to £52,259 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds and dispense controlled medication
* Respond to emergency situations
* Assess patients and undertake reception screening
* Assess health needs using evidence-based frameworks and perform risk assessments
* Assess physical and mental health of prisoners on admission and during custody for appropriate referrals
* Make clinical judgments regarding immediate and long-term treatment needs
