We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, and utensils promptly.
* Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use.
* Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating dishes as required.
* Help maintain stock levels by receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that hygiene standards are consistently met.
* Assist in maintaining a tidy work environment throughout the shift.
Skills
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous.
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is preferred.
