Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in the lives of our young residents. Your responsibilities will include:
· Support young people with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, laundry, and household chores.
· Promote independence by coaching young people in budgeting, shopping, and developing essential life skills.
· Work as a key worker for allocated residents, ensuring consistent support, completing key work sessions, and maintaining accurate support plans.
· Ensure that all young people are supported to engage in education, employment or training, and accompany them to school or college if needed.
· Monitor and support the emotional wellbeing of residents, providing a listening ear, emotional support, and referrals to mental health services.
· Manage health and medical needs by ensuring GP/dental registration and accompanying young people to medical appointments when needed.
· Promote a safe environment by adhering to safeguarding protocols, observing for concerns, and reporting in line with the safeguarding policy.
· Implement and record structured daily routines, including wake-up times, meal preparation, personal care routines, and bedtime routines.
· Facilitate social, cultural, and recreational activities both in-house and in the community to promote social inclusion.
· Support behaviour management in a fair, respectful manner, addressing incidents and implementing consequences as per policies.
· Conduct room checks when necessary in accordance with room search procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
· Promote internet safety and manage mobile phone use according to age and risk assessments.
Requirements
· Minimum 1 year experience in similar setting.
· NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK.
· Flexible with shifts including sleep-ins and weekends.

Pay: £175.00-£185.00 per day
