Head of Finance - Exclusive (Robert Half) - Based in Crick office based with flexibility/hybrid once probation has been passed.Robert Half are exclusively supporting the search for a Head of Finance, reporting to the Finance and Commercial Director and leading a team of four (2 Accounts Administrators, Finance Administrator, Credit Controller).Role ownership:Own end-to-end operational finance deliveryLead monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)Own budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecastsOversee AP, AR, payroll, and full month-end closeManage fixed assets (demo & hire fleet) including SAP processing, disposals, and depreciationControl & compliance:Strengthen internal controls and financial governanceImprove reporting processes, systems, and financial disciplineSupport year-end audit processEnsure tax and regulatory compliance (including VAT)Identify and manage financial and operational riskCommercial support:Deliver financial insight and analysis to support decision-makingImprove forecasting accuracy through business driver understandingSupport challenge of cost base, margins, and performance assumptionsDrive profitability through commercial finance supportLeadership & delivery:Lead, develop, and scale a small finance teamEmbed accountability, structure, and process disciplineDrive automation and continuous improvement across financeEnsure the function is scalable to support growthStakeholder scope:Act as finance partner to operational teams and senior leadershipOperate across all levels from shop floor to board levelEngage with international stakeholders and major customersUK & European travel may be requiredRequirements:Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent)Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred)5+ years' senior commercial finance experienceProven leadership experience in a hands-on environmentStrong balance of operational detail and commercial thinkingRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
