Job Description
:
The Apache Academy (ApAc) provides AH-64 synthetic training to our MoD customer. ApAc Engineering supports the continuity of training delivery through pro-active and reactive maintenance of training devices and infrastructure
Position Responsibilities:
1. Conducts repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software
2. Performs general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components
3. Conducts functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators
4. Troubleshooting systems, support equipment to isolate faults and repair faulty components
5. Works under limited supervision
6. Develop and enhance existing processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement within ApAc Engineering
7. First line support to building and infrastructure systems
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
8. Good level of experience with electronic/electrical systems/computers/networking/avionics
9. Excellent organization and computing skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10. Time served indentured apprenticeship (Simulator/Avionics/Electronics/Engineering)
11. NVQ level 3 Electrical/Electronics/Avionics
12. Proficient with Microsoft office applications.
13. Experience on flight simulators and training equipment.
14. Experience with qualification test guide running and grading (QTG's).
15. Knowledge of the Military Air Environment and associated governance.
16. HNC or higher Electronics/Avionics/Aircraft/Engineering
This position will be based onsite full time and will operate on a shift pattern of alternate weeks of early shift (0700 – 1500) and late shift (1500-2300)
