The person appointed would be expected to: To assist the Estates Manager with administrative duties supporting the Health and Safety arrangements, organisation and administration across the campus. This will include the preparation of college risk assessments, personal risk assessments, COSHH assessments, PEEPs and reviews for students and site To assist the Estates Manager with the applying, logging, checking and implementation of statutory recommendations and regulations Liaise with contractors regarding planning and organising works (planned and remedial), managing the works planner and escorting around site as required Review and update Estates documents and files Collate reporting information Undertake building checks once per team, following through on issues identified Assist Estates Manager with financial duties including raising purchase orders, sourcing supplier quotes, obtaining value for money, authorising invoices To assist with the recording of all decisions and actions from Health and Safety meetings including following up with designated members of staff To assist with the monitoring of college projects To support the Estates Manager ensuring the campus remains in an operational position at all times Provide ad-hoc cover for other areas of the Estates Team as required (security, reception) Assist Estates Manager with Sustainable initiatives including leading the Sustainability Committee, statutory reporting, planning and organising works Assist Estates Team with preparation and end of event duties for open events and exams including moving classroom furniture, exam desks and chairs Assist Estates Team with managing and responding to job requests, examples include including opening and closing partition walls, moving furniture, delivering parcels around site, salt spreading Deputise for Care Team leader for health and safety checks (first aid boxes, defibrillators) Organise weekly fire alarm checks First aider and fire warden for site Occasional opening/closing buildings during holiday periods (6.30am open and 4.30pm close) Support wider college events such as open evenings, enrolment day including car park duties Contract and Salary Information Closing date: 12 noon on Wednesday 22nd April 2026, we reserve the right to close this vacancy before this date.
