The Role:
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate to work with Secure Innovation Limited and the University of Plymouth on a ground-breaking project to develop an innovative satellite communication and tracking system. This collaboration aims to to develop and embed a robust, reliable and cost-effective satellite communication system to allow global tracking and monitoring of high value assets, particualrly in areas where there is low or no GSM signal. You must evidence the following essential criteria in you application:
* MSc/MPhil or PhD in a topic related to RF Communications, Satellite Communications, Satellite Systems and Digital Signal Processing or equivalent experience.
* BEng/BSc with a minimum 2.1 in a relevant subject such as Electronic Engineering, Physics, or similar.
* Familiarity with RF circuits and mobile communications.
* The successful candidate must be capable of passing Security Screening in accordance with BS7858 to ensure continued employment.
The following desirable criteria would be advantageous:
* Experience of Digital Signal Processing and Filtering technique development.
* Familiarity with embedded systems and system security.
* Ability to contribute to, and work within QA system, such ISO is highly desirable.
* Experience working in industry is desirable, specifically within the electronic engineering sector.
* Knowledge of IT security principles and firmware development.
* Development of SOPs to embed knowledge.
* Highly numerate, tenacious with well-developed problem-solving skills.

There is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other business locations that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Please refer to the job description for further information.

This is a full-time position working 39 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 27 months due to Funding.
