The Role
As a Team Leader, you will oversee and support a small team on the shop floor, ensuring targets are met, quality is maintained, and staff are motivated. This position combines people leadership with hands-on production duties such as cable assembly, wiring, and testing.

The Team Leader will be responsible for supervising and supporting a small production team to ensure daily operations run smoothly. This hands-on role combines leadership with active involvement in production, ensuring that targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and staff are motivated and supported in their work.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, coordinate, and support production staff on the shop floor.
* Assist in the training and development of new and existing team members.
* Monitor workload and allocate tasks to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved.
* Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency in all work.
* Be a point of contact between staff and management, communicating updates clearly.
* Encourage a positive, safe, and supportive working environment.
* Support continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements.
* Take a hands-on role in production (cable assembly, wiring, testing, etc.).
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leading role.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
* Excellent communication and people-management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Positive, proactive attitude and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
* Experience in cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, or similar environment.
* Basic understanding of production planning and scheduling.
