An established and highly respected organisation based in Doncaster is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Coordinator / Senior Payroll Administrator to join their growing payroll function.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business known for genuinely looking after its people, fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture, and offering long-term stability and development. The payroll team plays a critical role within the organisation, and this position has been created due to continued growth and increasing payroll complexity.You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring all employees receive accurate and timely payments while maintaining full compliance with statutory requirements.Key Responsibilities Process weekly and monthly payrolls in a high-volume environment, ensuring all timesheets, overtime, expense claims, and supporting documentation are accurately processedCalculate and process salaries, wages, bonuses, statutory payments (including SSP, company sick pay, Maternity and Paternity pay)Manage PAYE, NIC, pension contributions, voluntary deductions, and Attachment of Earnings Orders (AEOs)Perform manual gross-to-net calculations, handle tax coding notices, and process benefits in kindThoroughly check and reconcile payrolls to ensure accuracy before final processingInvestigate and resolve employee payroll queries promptly and professionallyLiaise with HMRC, Benefits Agency, mortgage lenders, courts, and other external bodies as requiredWork closely with HR and site management on all payroll-related mattersSupport continuous improvement of payroll processes and maintain accurate records in line with Data Protection and statutory requirementsWhat We're Looking For Essential Experience & Knowledge:Proven end-to-end payroll processing experience with strong practical knowledge of UK payrollExperience in a high-volume payroll environmentUnderstanding of PAYE, NIC, RTI, Auto Enrolment, statutory payments, and payroll legislationConfidence with manual calculations, tax codes, benefits in kind, and deductionsMicrosoft Excel skillsPersonal Attributes:Organised with good time management and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesAttention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshootingStrong verbal and written communication skillsA collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships at all levelsFlexible, adaptable, and committed to delivering high standardsWhat's On Offer Competitive salary with flexibility for exceptional candidatesHybrid working (after successful onboarding)A genuinely supportive, collaborative, and friendly team environmentLong-term career stability with a well-established organisation that values its peopleOpportunities for professional development and growthTPBN1_UKTJ
