The candidate will lead relationships with clients, insurers and other third parties and be responsible for building new relationships and winning new projects for the team. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:Support team to improve and evolve ways of working when necessary.Arrange and sponsor appropriate assignments and experiences to help people realise their potential and support their long-term aspirations.Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to create value propositions.Look for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.Create an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.Promote and encourage others to value difference when working in diverse teams.Drive and take ownership for developing connections that help deliver what is best for our people and stakeholders.Influence and facilitate the creation of long-term relationships which add value to the firm.Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.Responsibilities specific to Risk Transfer work:Proactively lead a portfolio of clients and build a pipeline of future clients for the teamHelp to drive the future strategy for the teamSign out high quality, technically accurate client deliverables, including FCA regulated adviceEstablish effective working relationships with individuals internally and maintain strong relationships with insurers, Professional Independent Trustees and other advisers externallyLead meetingsResponsibility for the financial management of your portfolio of clientsContribute to the development of personal and team knowledge, including coaching junior members of our teamBuild or expand your own network of contacts through regular attendance at internal and external meetingsStay up-to-date with changes in law, topical issues in the industry and in the firm's products and servicesSome travel and occasional overnight stays will be expected.Essential skills and experience:Alongside a strong academic background, you will ideally have an actuarial (IFoA) qualification and have:Relevant UK pensions experience (ideally 10+ years), gained in an actuarial advisory team or with an insurer or reinsurerSignificant experience in Risk Transfer work leading the transactions with the insurer and the clientExperience in drafting RFPs, winning new work and developing new client relationshipsEstablished insurer relationships and relationships with Professional Independent TrusteesPreferably FCA approvedExcellent team, leadership, organisational and communication skillsPlenty of self-motivationThe ability to work to tight deadlines effectivelyLocations in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Reading, Bristol, East Midlands.
