Roxane UK are part of the worldwide Sources-Alma group with over 45 sites located worldwide, with our products having presence in more than 70 countries. The UK has operational sites at Armathwaite and Lichfield, producing bottled natural mineral water (still and sparkling).
We are currently looking for a self-motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a QA Technician at our Eden Valley site at Armathwaite (CA4 9TU).
The focus of the role is to ensure that all analytical, microbiological and quality assurance testing is completed in accordance with documented site procedures and complies with site/customer specifications where appropriate.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a passion for food safety and quality and is happy to work either independently or as part of a small team.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00 (40 hours per week).
Requirements:
Routine tasks that the successful applicant would be expected to conduct are as follows:
· Complete Microbiological testing on finished product and process water.
· Logging samples and entering results on internal LIM's system.
· Conduct routine sampling of factory process points and complete required analysis.
· Maintain accurate Laboratory records accordingly including factory QA records.
· Undertake regular hygiene monitoring in the factory.
· Conduct positive release of finished product.
· Pest Control Monitoring.
· Ensure incoming materials comply to the site/customer standards.
· Conduct glass/hard plastic audits.
· Ensure equipment is calibrated within documented timescales.
· Ensure that the Laboratory areas are kept clean and tidy.
· Collaborate with other Team Members to trouble shoot issues.
. Collect routine borehole samples, environmental data and maintain cleanliness of the boreholes.
. Conduct routine filter integrity testing and bag filter changes.
. Oversee the site technical water system and conduct testing.
. Maintain the cleanliness of the CIP room and conduct PPM's.
. Assist with CIP activities on site.
. Prepare laboratory media.
. Conduct factory and packaging environmental sampling.
What you'll need:
· Microbiology Laboratory experience.
· Experience with Microsoft office (Outlook, word, excel).
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy when conducting and reporting analysis.
· Excellent organisation and time management skills.
· Be self-motivated and proactive.
· Good communication skills to communicate with colleagues at all levels.
Must have access to your own transport due to the location
