Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team managing design activities across the MOD Estate within Oxfordshire. You’ll oversee a portfolio of projects ranging from £1M to £15M, encompassing both refurbishment and new build schemes.
This is a key role within our construction and project delivery function, ensuring that design solutions are compliant, efficient, and delivered to the highest technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate all design activities from concept through to completion.
* Manage the interface between design consultants, clients, and construction teams.
* Ensure compliance with MOD and Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) design standards.
* Oversee design risk management, buildability reviews, and technical submissions.
* Support tendering processes, including developing design proposals and value engineering.
* Monitor design programmes and ensure timely delivery of design information to meet project milestones.
* Foster a collaborative, proactive design culture within project teams.
