A new role has become available in our busy warehouse. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a Warehouse Technician and work directly with the RF, Mics & Mic Stands Department. We are looking for a highly motivated individual and someone interested in a career in the audio industry, and we are offering the right candidate a chance to showcase and acquire skills.
What will you do?
As a Warehouse Technician you will be involved in all aspects of the running of the RF, Mics & Mic Stands Department, including managing, testing and maintaining our equipment. You will need to quickly develop a good understanding and knowledge of our equipment and of the needs of both local and worldwide clients. Every project is different, and you’ll be working with a brilliant team who specialise in making things happen, from concept to delivery.
Reporting directly to the Head of Department you will assist in the preparation and de-preparation of equipment and ensure the smooth running of the department within the warehouse.
Everything we do is time critical, so the ability to work efficiently and sometimes for extended hours is essential whilst maintaining very high standards. It goes without saying that the right person for this role will be a great team player with sharp attention to detail and accuracy, who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Your main responsibilities are:
* Preparing and de-prepping microphone stands prior to dispatch
* Inventory management, including cycle counting and barcoding
* Ensure equipment is fully functional and in its best condition, including repairs
* Keeping and managing the inventory of spare parts
* Ensure equipment is delivered within timelines and with appropriate packaging
* Ensure that equipment prepped and supplied matches the equipment specified on the job with 100% accuracy
* Confirm that returning equipment is checked-in and matches the equipment that went out on the job with 100% accuracy
* Store equipment in the correct place
* Report to the head of department any anomalies, lost or damaged equipment
* To follow through with immediacy on all shortages
* Maintain an open dialogue within the department and with other departmental staff to facilitate performance, processes and productivity
* Help organise the RF, Mics & Mic Stands department ensuring equipment is ready to be deployed and company processes are followed
* Ensure that the department’s preparation areas are maintained in a clean, organized and tidy condition
* Comply with Health and safety regulations at all times
* Provide cover for the department when necessary
* What skills and experience do we want?
* A general understanding of audio equipment, RF equipment, microphones and mic stands
* Some hands-on experience of working with audio systems
* You will need to be reliable, and possess a logical and systematic approach to work whilst meeting strict deadlines
* The ability to work efficiently and sometimes for extended hours is essential whilst maintaining very high standards
* You will have a keen interest in gaining experience in the technical and operational side of the professional audio industry
* We are looking for someone with drive and ambition, with technical skills and a “can do attitude”
* You must be highly organised, a great Communicator and able to swiftly build strong working relationships
* It goes without saying that the right person for this role will be a great team player with sharp attention to detail and accuracy, who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Training in both RF and Mics will be provided to help cover departmental needs

*Our operating hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Standard working hours are 35 hours per week, 10am to 6pm, five out of seven days, Monday to Sunday with an unpaid break of 60 minutes. You will be required to work a reasonable amount of paid overtime.
