An opportunity has arisen at Leicester College to appoint a Brick/Multiskilled Trainer Assessor in the curriculum area of On-Site Construction. The post holder will have a detailed knowledge of Bricklaying and the general Construction industry and will deliver training and assessment in college to provide students with a wide range of knowledge, skills, and behaviours relevant to their main programme of study. The successful applicant will work as part of a team to ensure success for all students.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Delivering practical training and managing assessments
Commissioning and decommissioning designated areas
Maintaining student records of progress, achievement and target setting
Taking a proactive stance for Health & Safety within workshops
Procurement of materials, tools, consumables etc.
Routine maintenance task commensurate with the job role.
The students you will be responsible for will be drawn from full time, part-time, adult evening groups and school provision based on curriculum planning.
The role requires someone who can work flexibly and effectively as part of a team to deliver high quality learning experiences and outcomes for all students.
Previous experience of working in a training environment and working with young people is desirable but not essential as support is available for someone who can demonstrate commitment to developing.
Applicants should:
Hold a relevant Brickwork Level 3 qualification although consideration will be given to applicants who hold a relevant Level 2 qualification who can demonstrate appropriate industrial experience and a desire to develop.
Hold a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in maths and English.
An assessing qualification is desirable but not essential as support is available for someone who can demonstrate commitment to developing.
