Trainee / Apprentice Dental Nurse – Part Time (Full Training Provided)

No previous dental experience is required as full training will be provided. This role is ideal for a school leaver or someone looking to change career and develop long-term opportunities within dentistry.
Stone Cottage Dental Surgery is a modern, independent 3-surgery practice with an excellent reputation for patient care and clinical standards. You will train alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team including dentists, hygienists, an implantologist, oral surgeon and clinicians providing endodontic and periodontal treatments. We provide NHS and private dentistry as well as Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, implants and advanced treatments, giving you exposure to a wide range of dentistry from the very start of your career.
As a trainee dental nurse, you will earn while completing a recognised Dental Nursing Diploma qualification, typically completed within approximately 18 months depending on progress. Once qualified, dental nursing offers excellent long-term career progression including specialist nursing roles and further pathways such as dental hygiene and therapy.
You will be fully supported throughout your training and gradually learn all aspects of dental nursing including chairside assistance, patient care, infection control procedures, instrument preparation and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
The practice is fully digitalised with intra-oral scanners, digital radiography and modern equipment, allowing you to train within a progressive and high-quality clinical environment. We pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly, ethical and team-focused workplace where trainees are supported to grow in confidence and develop valuable lifelong skills.
The position is for Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays with one Saturday per month.
Working hours are 08:15 – 17:30.
Start date: 23 March 2026 (flexible for the right candidate).

Stone Cottage Dental Surgery is located in the beautiful village of Forest Row, Sussex, less than 10 minutes from East Grinstead and within easy reach of Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough and Haywards Heath. Free parking is available throughout the village.
