Engineering Manager – Multi-Disciplinary Team Leadership

A rapidly growing technology business is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team. This is a key leadership role focused on people, performance and capability development.
The Opportunity
You’ll be responsible for shaping engineering culture, driving high performance and supporting technical excellence across a range of complex product development projects. Working closely with senior leadership and the Chief Engineer, the Engineering Manager will play a central role in engineering strategy, team growth and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and develop engineers across multiple disciplines.
* Implement engineering processes and workflows that support innovation and technical rigour.
* The Engineering Manager champions technical standards and best practice across the department.
* Partner with senior leaders to align engineering activity with business priorities.
* Lead recruitment, workforce planning and team capability growth.
* Support long- and short-term development planning with technical leads.
* Conduct root-cause analysis on team performance and drive improvements.
* Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation.
What We’re Looking For
* A collaborative, people-focused Engineering Manager with a strong coaching mindset.
* Degree+ in an engineering or scientific discipline.
* Significant experience managing large or complex engineering teams.
* Background in senior product development roles with cross-functional delivery.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage evolving priorities.
* Experience in defence or security sectors is beneficial but not essential.
