My Place 4 Care is dedicated to providing high-quality residential services for children and young people with learning and behavioural difficulties (LBD). We support children aged 11–18 years, and also provide transitional care for young people aged 16–25, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, support, and guidance needed to move towards independence.

As part of our commitment to delivering outstanding care, children and young people in our services receive therapeutic support from professional Psychotherapist, enabling us to provide holistic care that addresses both emotional wellbeing and practical independence skills.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead our children's residential and transitional care service in Stockton-on-Tees and outlying areas, while also providing oversight across all My Place 4 Care homes. The Registered Manager will work closely with and oversee the onsite House Leads, who manage the day-to-day operations of each home.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the overall running of the Stockton-on-Tees children's home and transitional care service, in line with company policies, Ofsted regulations, CQC and the Health and Social Care Act.
* Provide operational oversight and leadership across two additional My Place 4 Care, homes, working directly with the onsite House Leads to ensure consistent quality, compliance, and outcomes.
* Ensure each child/young person has a personalised care plan that reflects their learning, behavioural, emotional, therapeutic, social, and cultural needs.
* Support young people in transition (16–25) with independence skills, education, training, and employment pathways.
* Ensure therapeutic input is embedded in care practice through sessions with the Psychotherapist and reflective staff support.
* Allocate each young person a Key Worker responsible for implementing their care plan.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, families, carers, professionals, and external agencies.
* Play a key role in inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
* Manage budgets effectively in line with company policies.
* Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision, and professional development of House Leads and support teams across all sites.
* Provide clear leadership, guidance, and mentoring to House Leads, ensuring safe, nurturing, and empowering environments across the homes.
* Act as the main point of contact for local authorities, governing bodies, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role within an Ofsted-regulated children's home (Registered or Deputy Manager).
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory frameworks.
* Knowledge of both Ofsted Children's Homes Regulations 2015, CQC and the Health and Social Care Act.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Experience overseeing multiple services and managing middle managers (e.g. House Leads).
* Full UK driving licence (required, due to multi-site oversight).
* Right to work in the UK (required).
