Job Description :
REC Source is recruitingHGV Class 1 Driver (s) (ADR)for afull-time night shiftposition with a highly respected and well-established logistics client inBasildon. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transport ofhazardous freightacross UK trunk routes using Class 1 articulated vehicles.
This is an ideal opportunity for drivers withstrong safety awareness, a good track record intrunking, and a professional attitude toward customers and compliance. Full adherence to ADR protocols and depot procedures is essential.
* Day shifts: Monday to Friday, 8-12-hour shifts
* Possible weekend shifts
Key Responsibilities :
* Operate Class 1 (C+E) / HGV Class 1 Driver ADR articulated vehicles in line withRoad Traffic Legislation and the Highway Code
* Carry outdaily vehicle checks, including documentation and reporting of any defects
* Use and maintainPPE and safety equipmentaccording to company health & safety protocols
* Complete and return all required delivery documents, includingPODs and digital entries
* Adhere to company procedures, customer site rules, andADR handling requirements
* Maintain vehicle cleanliness and condition throughout your shift
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers, especially regarding delays or issues
Requirements :
* Valid UK HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) licence
* ADR certification Packages(essential)
* Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card
* At least 2 years' experiencein HGV driving andtrunking routespreferred
* Ability to work independently and plan routes responsibly
* Must hold anup-to-date medicaland be fluent in English (spoken and written)
