Location Fort Augustus Isle of Skye
By joining our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Manager you will be have overall accountability for successful project delivery including; planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out on our Over Head Line project for the Fort Augustus Isle of Skye 132kV Reinforcement works which is a site based role.
What you'll be doing
1. Hold periodic project reviews and update the Digital Briefcase
2. Ensure reports provide relevant information to enable decisions to be made
which are informed, cost effective and in line with overall business strategy
3. Prepare and present both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
4. Ability to interrogate designs and challenge inputs and deliverables

Health, Safety & Environmental
6. Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in
legislation
7. Carry out Safety & Environmental Tours/promote observation and safety
initiatives
8. Lead Accident/Incident Investigations and monitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System and implement improvement actions
9. Review RAMS and accepting subcontractor RAMS
10. Develop H&S plan and ensure it is treated as a live document and ensure sufficiency and competency of workforce
11. Coordinate and manage all project activities and internal functions and identify and control resource to deliver works
12. Develop, implement and update resource allocations plans and raise
appropriate requests
13. Develop high performing teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist with
internal training through supporting, guiding, motivating and empowering the
team. Using the resources available through training, mentoring and
performance management.
14. Lead risk/opportunity reviews, ownership of the Risk Register and
recommend/implement changes. Log and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level of authority
15. Manage subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and
progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that
contractual arrangements are achieved
16. Ensure assurance activities (audits) are undertaken and take appropriate
action on findings and lead working groups on focused improvement areas
17. Monitor progress and implement Short Interval Control processes/hold weekly
meeting and ensure production of operational milestones reflect master schedule and customer expectations
18. Advocate consistency and reliability of digital data to support successful
project delivery
19. Maintain Digital Group Minimum Standards and operate with appropriate level
of digital tools
Who we're looking for
20. Formal qualification in project management or equivalent experience
21. CSCS and SMSTS or Equivalent
22. In depth understanding and practical experience of standard forms of contracts
23. Proficient in commercial/project management communications
24. Experience in implementing safe systems of work
25. Full UK Driving Licence
26. Previous experience in delivery complex OHL projects
