We’re working with care services across Gateshead who are looking for compassionate, reliable people to support children with additional needs. You don’t need years of experience, just kindness, patience and a genuine interest in helping others live safely and confidently.
What you’ll be doing
Your days will be varied and meaningful, supporting residents with:
1. daily routines, personal care and independence
2. emotional reassurance during tougher moments
3. activities that build confidence, communication and wellbeing
4. gentle, patient support for those with autism, learning disabilities or complex needs
5. working with a team who care about getting things right
You’ll be a steady, familiar face who helps create a safe and warm environment.
What makes you a great fit

Experience in care, youth work, support work or SEN schools is helpful, but not essential. The right attitude matters most.
