Prospero Teaching are supporting welcoming primary schools across the Birkenhead area who are looking to appoint full-time Teaching Assistants for long-term roles starting in January. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience working with children or vulnerable adults who are passionate about supporting learning and development within a school environment.
The role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the school, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment. Working alongside the class teacher and wider support staff, you will assist with lessons, deliver small-group interventions and provide 1:1 support where required. Schools are looking for calm, reliable and proactive individuals who are committed to helping children thrive academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
7. Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
8. Assisting the class teacher with lessons, routines and classroom activities
9. Delivering small-group interventions and targeted support
10. Providing 1:1 guidance for pupils who require additional help
11. Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
12. Helping pupils stay focused, motivated and confident
13. Contributing to a safe, supportive and nurturing classroom environment

The ideal candidate
18. Experience working with children or vulnerable adults (essential)
19. Patient, confident and able to build strong relationships
20. Good communication and interpersonal skills
21. Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to education
22. Understanding of safeguarding and school policies
