Our client, a leading food manufacturing company are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their Projects Team.
This role would suit a candidate with a background in construction project management, particularly in groundworks, enabling works, or site development, who is looking to apply their expertise in a highly regulated, fast-moving manufacturing environment.
The Role
The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across multiple manufacturing sites.
This includes managing groundworks, site preparation, and other enabling works that are critical to the company's production and facility operations.
Working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, the Project Engineer will help ensure that all projects are delivered safely, on time, and in line with budget, quality, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and execution of civils and infrastructure projects within operational food manufacturing sites.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety requirements.
* Support the management of budgets, timelines, and project risk assessments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimise disruption to manufacturing operations.
* Maintain clear documentation and reporting throughout project lifecycles.
Candidate Profile
* Experience in construction or civil engineering project delivery, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
* Knowledge of groundworks, enabling works, drainage, or infrastructure services.
* Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
* Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and site safety protocols.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a live operational environment.
