The company:
Join a precision engineering leader supplying high-specification components to the aerospace sector. This role offers the chance to work with advanced Mill/Turn technology on challenging, small-to-medium batch work for cutting-edge customer designs.
The role:
You'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components to exacting aerospace standards. Working closely with Planning, Quality, and other departments, you'll help develop new manufacturing methods for both prototype and repeat work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program, set, and operate CNC Mill/Turn machines and other turning equipment to tight tolerances
* Develop manufacturing methods for new product introductions
* Work with a variety of materials including Stainless Steel, Nylon, Titanium, Inconel & Aluminium
* Record accurate job timings in the ERP system
* Maintain 6S standards on the shop floor
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
What we are looking for:
* Strong background in CNC Mill/Turn machining in aerospace or similar high-precision industries
* Skilled in offline programming for Mill/Turn and CNC Turning machines with Fanuc controls
* Experience working to tolerances
* Apprentice trained or qualified by experience
* Familiarity with CAD/CAM
This is a late shift role working Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1:30pm paying up to £23.00 per hour for the right candidate.
