Mechanical Fitter (Rotating Equipment) Fawley Oil Refinery, Hampshire Monday-Friday | Day Shift | Permanent NAECI Blue Book Rates - Grade 5 First Achieve is recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering client for a Mechanical Fitter to join their permanent team at Fawley Oil Refinery. This role focuses on rotating equipment maintenance, particularly pumps across the site. The Role Working on-site at Fawley, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, overhaul, installation and commissioning of rotating equipment, supporting both corrective and preventative maintenance activities. You'll work closely with refinery engineers and the wider maintenance team to deliver high-quality work safely, on time, and to exacting standards. Key Responsibilities Removal, strip-down, inspection, repair and rebuild of rotating equipment Installation and commissioning of pumps and associated equipment Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications Measuring and recording dimensions, tolerances and clearances Completing job reports, strip-down reports and rebuild documentation Ensuring all work is carried out in line with site HSEQ procedures and permit-to-work systems Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site organisation Working both independently and as part of a team Willingness to carry out ad hoc duties as required Participation in overtime and shared call-out a...
