Our stunning care home, Wilmslow Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in the popular town of Wilmslow, Cheshire, 11 miles south of Manchester city centre. The home is registered to provide care to 63 residents with various needs including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care, investing in the latest technology and offering a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with full induction and ongoing training provided by our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team, having had no agency staff for over four years, ensuring continuity of care and building trusting relationships with residents. Across New Care, all staff are paid at least the national living wage.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and organized Hospitality Assistant to join our team. The role involves ensuring residents and visitors receive efficient food service, maintaining a clean environment within the dining area, and serving at all times. This is a 0-hour BANK contract with an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are from 08:00 to 19:00, including weekends.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Ensure high standards of hospitality service are maintained.
2. Support and assist visitors.
3. Inform the Chef of any specific requirements of residents.
4. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures as per company HACCP standards.
5. Adhere to all training provided.
6. Properly complete records and reports.
7. Promote safeguarding and the welfare of adults the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Hospitality or catering experience is desirable.
2. Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills with team members.
4. Willingness to participate in activities organized within the home.
