Solicitor / Legal Executive - Clinical Negligence - Gloucester / Hybrid / Fully Remote - 1-2 Years PQE
Location: Gloucester (Hybrid or Fully Remote options available)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience)
A well established and reputable law firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive with 1-2 years\' post qualification experience to join its expanding Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise within a supportive, collaborative environment that values high quality work and strong client care.
The Role
You\'ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of Clinical Negligence matters from initial instruction through to settlement, including:
* Conducting initial consultations and triaging new enquiries
* Advising and supporting clients throughout their claims
* Managing pre action and litigated cases under the CPR
* Drafting Letters of Claim, analysing Letters of Response, preparing witness statements, and drafting court documents
* Reviewing and preparing chronologies of medical records and expert evidence
* Instructing and liaising with medical experts and counsel
* Advising on funding arrangements including CFAs, ATE policies, and client care documentation
* Negotiating with defendants and insurers to secure the best outcomes
* Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor or legal executive with:
* 1-2 years PQE in Clinical Negligence
* Strong analytical, drafting, and case management skills
* Excellent communication and client handling abilities
* Confidence in managing files independently with appropriate supervision
* High attention to detail and a methodical approach
* Strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset
* Competence in legal IT systems and Microsoft Office
* Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to its ongoing development
