We are seeking a passionate individual who wants to help improve our operations to deliver even more for the environment. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will understand and analyse user and business needs, helping to ensure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture. You will challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose. You shall collaborate and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build, and delivery to meet user needs, working alongside project teams, technical teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
Senior BAs will be expected to take a lead role in identifying opportunities and implementing solutions for improving the Business Analysis Service, acting as technical leads, supporting colleagues, and helping to shape and scope work that we commission.
The team
The Business Analysis Service works primarily in the Chief Regulator Group, leading and supporting a wide variety of business-critical change and improvement initiatives. Our mission is that through insightful analysis, we empower colleagues to maximise opportunities, resources, and make informed decisions, ensuring every step helps to create better places for people and wildlife, and support sustainable development.

Experience/skills Required
* Leadership: Strong leadership skills guiding colleagues, leading projects, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying findings and recommendations effectively to various stakeholders.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Proven track record of engaging with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in for project initiatives.
* Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyse complex business problems and processes, identifying issues and opportunities for making informed business decisions.
* Project Delivery: Experience managing analytical support products including requirements catalogues, impact assessments, and business process models.
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
* Substantial experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
* Relevant business analysis qualifications.
* Comfortable switching between tasks and/or projects at short notice supporting business needs.
* Experience of working in an Agile environment, or Government Digital Service.
* Experience leading refinement sessions.
* An appetite for Continuous Professional Development and sharing of skills/expertise.

The role is flexible/hybrid with an EA Office base location. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
