Job Description
As a valued member of the workplace team, you will guide the day to day delivery of cleaning services, ensuring all areas are maintained to an exceptional standard. You will balance hands on involvement with leadership, supporting your team, managing resources and creating a culture of accountability and pride in the work delivered.
You will work closely with site leadership, ensuring cleaning activities align with best practice, health and safety expectations, and operational needs. The role offers the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, improve processes and contribute to a workplace where people feel comfortable and inspired.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and support the cleaning team, ensuring daily tasks are completed to a high standard
2. Plan cleaning schedules, allocate duties and manage team rotas
3. Oversee holidays and absence, maintaining smooth service delivery
4. Manage periodic and specialist cleaning activities across the site
5. Monitor cleaning equipment, arrange maintenance and report repairs
6. Manage stock levels, including ordering consumables within agreed budgets
7. Carry out regular inspections to maintain and improve standards
8. Ensure all health and safety requirements are followed and documented
9. Keep accurate site records and support compliance requirements
10. Contribute to a positive team culture and support wider operational needs
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
11. Strong knowledge of cleaning processes and safe working practices, including COSHH
12. Confidence in leading a team and supporting others in a busy environment
13. Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to changing priorities
14. Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards
15. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads effectively
16. Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to evolving needs
17. Comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
18. Ability to take ownership and work independently when needed
19. Experience working in a fast paced or office based environment
20. A collaborative mindset with a focus on creating a positive workplace experience
