Overview
Cicely Haughton School (Manor Hall Academy Trust) is seeking a Residential Support Worker to join the Residential provision. The role is 37 hours per week on weekdays with occasional split shifts and a sleep-in allowance.
Responsibilities
* Supporting young people to have fun, trust adults, make friends and develop their self-confidence.
* Maintaining a safe, secure and pleasant environment for the young people to live in.
* Working with other staff and on your own to prepare activities.
* The role includes working 3 evenings per week in the Residential Educational provision and will include a minimum of one sleep-in per week.
* Leading by example and being a good role model.
* Keeping up to date observations and records and feeding back to parents and guardians.
Qualifications and requirements
* Ability to build positive relationships with young people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH) and a range of behavioural challenges.
* Motivated and confident team member who possesses patience, energy and enjoys working with young people.
* A commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people; willingness to undertake induction and training.
* Additional requirements: DBS check and right to work in the UK; visits to the school available prior to shortlisting.

* Grade 6 Point 9 (£27,254) plus additional sleeping in allowance.
