Responsibilities
* Support the team overseeing the commercial governance of contracts with key consultancies and contractors, ensuring maximum value from budgets.
* Set up and manage pathfinder programmes that embed best practice and develop long‑term collaborative partnership arrangements.
* Provide country‑wide support to Integrated Delivery Management teams and the wider Project Management community, championing effective governance and commercial assurance.
* Develop strong internal and external relationships and become an expert on contractual and commercial interpretations within a high‑performing team.
* Participate in incident response duties where required and complete all mandatory training.
Essential Education and Skills
* Level 3 qualification or equivalent (e.g., A‑Level).
* Skilled communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Stakeholder management experience.
* Strong data and document management skills.
* Commercial acumen – the ability to analyse business situations, assess proportionate risks, make informed decisions and deliver value for money.
* Administrative skills – organisation, minute‑taking and report drafting.
* Willingness to shadow and undertake long‑term professional qualifications (e.g., NEC training, CIPS).
* Interest in infrastructure, construction or environmental programmes.
Desired Education / Professional Requirements
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
* Progressing towards status with a recognised professional body such as ICE, CIWEM, APM, CIPS or RICS.
* Formal training in contract management (e.g., NEC, Contract Management Capability Programme).
