Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in a young person's educational journey? Surbiton High School is seeking a dedicated and empathetic One-to-One Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to a pupil with additional needs who is currently in Year 7.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a pupil, helping her thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You'll be part of a collaborative team including teachers, therapists, and parents, ensuring the pupil receives the holistic support she deserves.
What We're Looking For:

Compassionate and patient, with a genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs.
Skilled in building trusting relationships and promoting independence.
Confident in liaising with professionals such as Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
Able to maintain accurate records and contribute meaningfully to multi-disciplinary discussions.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support in lessons and around the school, adapting to the pupil's physical and emotional needs.
Assist with mobility, including wheelchair use on school trips.
Support the pupil's social and emotional development, helping her manage day-to-day challenges.
Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement EHCP goals and specialist programmes.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the school's values and safeguarding standards.
