Practice Manager

Monday to Friday office hours, Friday 3pm finish

£35K-£40K Negotiable/Depends on experience

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of my client’s infrastructure, with particular emphasis on operations, risk and compliance, finance, and strategic project implementation.

You will need to be proactive, commercially astute, and highly organised. As my client expands, so too will this role — offering significant opportunity for development and progression.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

* Oversee the daily administrative operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimise workflows and enhance efficiency.
* Coordinate and manage office resources, including facilities, technology, and supplies.
* Monitor compliance with regulatory and legal standards to ensure all operations meet industry requirements.
* Manage supplier and service provider relationships (IT, facilities, telecoms, etc.).
* Assist with HR administration, recruitment support, and staff onboarding processes

Risk & Compliance:

* Maintain and develop risk management and compliance frameworks.
* Ensure the firm meets all regulatory requirements with Director assistance.
* Support with the preparation and submission of compliance reports and audits.

Finance:

* Oversee day-to-day financial operations including supplier payments, billing processes, and cashflow monitoring.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting alongside external accountants where needed.
Do you have?
* Previous experience in an Office Manager, Operations Manager, or similar management role.
* Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of operational finance processes (prior accounting qualification not required).
* Understanding of compliance/risk management frameworks in professional services.
* Comfortable working autonomously in a small but growing team.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a hands-on approach.
* A mindset focused on continuous improvement and scalable growth.
