The Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. In this role, you will design precision-engineered, bespoke electromechanical assemblies for complex capital equipment, whilst being able to manage all facets of the project life as part of a Project team You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle - from concept and detailed design through to delivery - giving you real ownership and visibility of your work. This position would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in bespoke capital equipment, excellent 3D CAD capability, and good commercial awareness. You'll be a confident, self-motivated engineer who enjoys taking responsibility, collaborating closely with colleagues, and contributing to innovative engineering solutions within a forward-thinking, supportive team. What you'll do 3D design work on a project-by-project basis for both standard and custom machines Carrying out and completing design changes following the internal process as required Working on design solutions for the sales team Compiling and amending Bill of materials in both modelling and MRP / ERP systems Ensuring all project documentation is complete and available for other departments as required Carry out such other tasks as may from time to time be requested, within the competence of the jobholder.
