About the role:
The Lab Automation Technician plays a vital part in maintaining and enhancing automated systems to minimize downtime and increase time for scientific activities.
This technician is responsible for ensuring prompt, flexible engineering support while adhering to statutory, regulatory, and engineering standards.
The key responsibilities include:
* Providing customer-focused engineering support with minimal downtime.
* Collaborating with Automation Engineers to diagnose complex equipment and system faults.
* Carrying out maintenance and commissioning work related to scientific equipment and systems.
* Participating in training activities to gain a deeper understanding of automation through Vendor or in-house cross-training.
* Developing knowledge of equipment assets and science to comprehend current and new technologies utilized by customers.
Your background should include:
• Technical Engineering Qualification or Apprenticeship
• HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline
• Demonstrated experience within the Laboratory Instrument Support sector across various scientific and/or automated systems
