Motor Auditor – Vehicle Repair and Engineering – Salary circa £47,000

About the job:
The primary purpose of this role is to motivate Aviva and external supplier employees to achieve sustainable improvements in safety, quality, and cost in motor accident repairs and total loss settlements.
You will use your technical motor expertise to identify improvement opportunities across Motor Repairers, Engineers, and Total Loss teams. The role involves assessing individual development needs and applying coaching, training, and best practice sharing to embed sustainable improvements, ensuring performance aligns with Aviva standards.
You will also provide assurance and insights to senior management to facilitate holistic change.
The role requires technical motor knowledge across standard, prestige, and commercial vehicles, with responsibilities including preventing unsafe repairs and re-negotiating costs to ensure fairness.
As part of a team of six experts, you will influence approximately 200,000 customer claims with a spend exceeding £0.5bn.
Skills and experience:
* Expert knowledge in motor repair and insurance, with ATA accreditation essential.
* Strong relationship management, diplomacy, and a balanced mindset.
* Commercial awareness and excellent organizational skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Proficient in Audatex.
