Experienced Paralegal – Vehicle Hire and Damage
Location: Newport
Join DAC Beachcroft’s CSG – Casualty team and contribute to our Credit Hire and Repair division, working with over 40 insurance companies and self‑insured corporates. This role provides an opportunity to handle complex litigation around vehicle hire and damage, from claim initiation to dispute resolution.
What you will do
* Provide a timely, professional and high‑quality service to clients managing litigated vehicle hire and damage cases.
* Take responsibility for a varied caseload of litigated work with appropriate supervision.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating strong knowledge and skill.
* Comply with internal and external service‑level agreements.
* Record accurate management information in a timely manner.
* Meet individual performance measures.
* Support marketing and business‑development activities (attending events, client training, clinics, shadowing days).
Who you are
* 2+ years experience handling litigated motor claims and managing your own caseload.
* Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills.
* Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
* Analytical ability to evaluate factual evidence and identify legal arguments.
* IT proficiency with Excel and Word.
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage cases within fee structures.
* Resilience in negotiations and a willingness to receive feedback.
* Aptitude to learn new skills and retain knowledge.
* Credit hire experience.
