Salary: Leadership Group Pay Range L12-16 (FTE: £67,898 - £75,049 per annum) (Teachers' Pension Scheme)

We are looking for an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to lead our focus on teaching and learning as part of our leadership team at Sybil Andrews Academy. This is an exciting period for Sybil Andrews. We are a high performing school which continues to build on our strong academic outcomes. This key post will assist the Headteacher in ensuring the achievement of the highest possible educational standards, creating an atmosphere and structure in which students feel valued and staff have high expectations of them. The successful candidate will work with our fantastic team of teaching and support staff to ensure high standards of learning, progress, attainment and behaviour across the school whilst developing the vision and culture of learning across the academy.

You will:

* Be an excellent classroom practitioner who is able to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues
* Have an up-to-date knowledge of the nature of teaching, learning and make use of the expertise of our Unity Research School
* Establish a clear picture of the quality of learning and teaching and curriculum in subject areas line managed and oversee development plans
* Participate in a lesson observation programme which shares and celebrates good practice leading to inspired, motivated teachers in the secondary phase.
* Be a role model for students and staff as a learner
* Be committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for all students
* Be resilient, enthusiastic and determined to help remove students' barriers to learning
* A team player with an excellent sense of humour
