Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Some WFH days, but you really should be splitting time between the project(s) and the main office.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, BOQ, cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting. The role is located between the Project itself and the Head office.
This role will suit someone able to work on their own initiative with support when required but at this level, you should know one end of a valuation to another.
Qualifications
* Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Reporting skills
* BOQ and Cost Planning skills
* Experience within a Main Contractor and/or Housing Developer.
* Detailed knowledge of NEC / JCT contract administration.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to make tea and coffee. (just checking you're still reading without skimming).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field/(optional, not essential)
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., RICS) are beneficial, not essential.
This role has the benefit of working within construction but the softer side of construction. Culturally, a nicer environment than some contractors as fundamentally, this isn't a building contractor.
