The Role:
This role is for a Mechanical Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
Working collaboratively with the Customer within the Mechanical Handling and Building Services teams to provide technical support on non-nuclear and nuclear mechanical handling assets and facilities within the site.
Supporting the Mechanical Engineering lead in key delivery projects.
Providing technical support to the ongoing operations and maintenance of DRDL's extant mechanical handling assetsThe Individual
We’re looking for people who can show:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Relevant mechanical engineering experience in a highly regulated industry
Knowledge and awareness of cranes, crane safety and associated mechanical handling systems
Proficiency in the production of electrical/mechanical engineering drawings
Proficiency in the production of hand calculations/FEA
Experience in the design process and producing evidence of the design and substantiation of systems and components.The Benefits:
