Job Description:
This role is an initial 12-month contract.
Working closely with the Head of Business Development and the Marketing and Business Development Director, you will take a lead role in implementing and managing business development initiatives across the Firm.
The role requires a confident and enthusiastic team player with the ability to manage multiple projects and work with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
This is a varied role which supports and drives the Firm’s approach to business development activities. You will work closely with the Marketing and Business Development Director, Head of Business Development, Partners, and fee earners across all offices, services, and practice groups, as well as the Chosen Markets and Client Service Cornerstones. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, you will manage a range of activities, including:
* Client listening – Working with an external consultancy, you will help manage how we listen to our clients, gain insights into client relationships, assess performance, and adapt to changing client needs. You will feed back to partners and teams and use insights to enhance the client experience.
* Intermediaries Program – Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to manage the firm’s Intermediaries Program, fostering key relationships and referrals, and adopting best practices across the firm.
* Targeting – Work with Partners, Office Heads, and Practice Group Heads to define and coordinate targeting activities.
* Key client care – Support partners with Key Client Care Plans, suggest improvements to strengthen relationships, and identify areas for service delivery enhancement.
* Participate in relevant marketing and business development meetings and provide updates on initiatives.
* Collaborate with the wider business development and marketing team on projects.
* Support the tenders team during busy periods with tender submissions.
* Manage and follow up on incoming website inquiries.
HYBRID:
The role can be based in any of the client’s offices; however, they have an agile working policy allowing up to three days a week working from home if desired.
The role requires:
* Degree education preferred but not essential
* Minimum 5 years’ relevant business development experience within an accountancy practice, professional services, or financial services organization
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively, collaborate, and build relationships at all levels
* Excellent attention to detail
* Self-motivated, committed, and enthusiastic
* Able to work independently and collaboratively to reach goals
* Excellent project management and coordination skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and confidence with learning new technology such as CRM and InDesign
* Excellent Excel skills for managing large data volumes
