Job Overview
We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to help create and lead a NEW children’s residential home.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will hold statutory responsibility for the overall management, leadership, and development of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards. This is a key leadership role requiring vision, compassion, and operational excellence.
Role Essentials
* Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team to deliver exceptional care.
* Ensure the home consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted requirements and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
* Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people aged between 8-17.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, promoting positive outcomes, health-wellbeing.
* Oversee budgets, staffing rotas, and resources to ensure the smooth running of the home.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, families, and external agencies.
* Proactively support senior management with business growth plans
* Promote a culture of safeguarding, accountability, and continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for a resilient and inspiring leader who is deeply committed to the welfare of children and young people.
Essential
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
* At least 2 years’ experience in a senior role within a children’s residential care setting.
* Strong understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
* Proven ability to lead and develop a staff team, manage performance, and maintain high standards of practice.
* Full UK Driving License
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage confidently with professionals, families, and children.
Desirable
* Experience of managing an Ofsted-registered home rated “Good” or “Outstanding.”
* Therapeutic care approach training.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
