The Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Bespoke Project Fabricator to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working on unique, one-off pieces and can adapt to the challenges of working with a variety of metals and materials. You'll be working closely with designers, manufacturing colleagues and clients to bring custom concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate bespoke pieces and projects from detailed drawings or concepts
* The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* TIG, MIG welding on a range of metals including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and others as projects dictate
* Use of workshop machinery, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments
* Collaborate with design and project teams to solve technical challenges
* Ensure all work meets high standards of finish, accuracy, and safety
* Occasionally install or deliver completed projects on-site
* Engage in meetings with clients to offer advice alongside Weather It team
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in multi-metal fabrication and welding
* Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
* Strong TIG and MIG welding skills (stainless, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals)
* Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
* Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
* Positive attitude and commitment to quality and safety
Desirable(not essential):
* Experience with CAD software
* Forklift license
* Familiarity with finishing techniques (polishing, patinas, etc.)
