Personal Assistant required – Tarleton area – LILS/EM/OL
Responsibilities
* Provide companionship and support to build confidence and promote independence and access the community for social/leisure activities.
* Support a young man who is autistic and may experience anxiety; act as a friend and mentor.
* Share interests in woodwork, photography and baking as appropriate; support creative projects.
* Ensure reassurance and a calm, positive attitude; no personal care involved.
* Promote effective communication; be trustworthy and reliable.
Qualifications
* Experience or knowledge of Autism and anxiety is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills; trustworthy and reliable.
* Driver with a full clean licence required.
* Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Details
* Part-time position for 6 hours per week initially (support for two afternoons – weekdays).
* Hourly rate £12.21 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
