Learning Support Assistant – initially within EYFS
Salary & Hours: NJC Point 4-6, £18,441 - £19,030 per annum
Hours: 31.5 hours per week, Term Time Only

Contract: Fixed term, ending 31 August 2026
Role
Sun Academy are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who strives to share their passion for education with our students and join our dedicated team to uphold the academy’s visions and values. We are seeking a patient, flexible and professional individual to support students in the classroom to ensure that they are making progress academically, socially and emotionally.
* Support students in the classroom to ensure progress academically, socially and emotionally.
* Work as part of a department team and also independently as required.
* Demonstrate good timekeeping and excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ideal candidate will hold GCSE Maths and English, Grade 4/C or above and a level 3 qualification in childcare or Teaching Assistant. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive team; there is a very strong commitment to improving standards. The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a strong SLT.
